Future projects rumours

Sometimes it seems the guy will be in every movie.
Most of the times they are just rumours, but I like to speculate about it. ;)

I really like the idea of him in a Jeff Buckley biopic and as a 60s/70s gangster. :)

So, this are some articles about those rumours.

* Robert Pattinson May Be Trading In His Fangs For A Tommy Gun

* Jeff Buckley Biopic Back on Track for 2010 Release, Possible Leads Include Jared Leto, James Franco and Robert Pattinson

* Amazing Grace of a tragic son (another article about the Jeff Buckley biopic)

* The Dune Remake: Can Robert Pattinson Fill Sting's Metal Speedo? (funny :P )

* Robert Pattinson to Star in New Dune Movie?

And this is the last one ;)

Brett Ratner Wants 'Twilight' Star Robert Pattinson For 'Youngblood' Movie

Robert Pattinson and his brooding "Twilight" alter ego might not be the first things that come to mind when contemplating the casting for Brett Ratner's upcoming, big-screen adaptation of the superhero series "Youngblood," but that's exactly whose name the filmmaker dropped when asked if he had any actors in mind.

"Definitely [Robert Pattinson] from 'Twilight,'" Ratner told MTV News when asked if he has his eye on any potential "Youngblood" actors at this point. "He just feels like he belongs in that world. I don't only see him as a vampire, he's a really good actor."

Given the roster of the comic book's team, Pattinson's leading-man resume and Ratner's previous comments about the "Youngblood" storyline, it's not too difficult to guess which role Ratner has in mind for the "Twilight" star.

The series, which was conceived by "Deadpool" co-creator Rob Liefeld, chronicled the adventures of a government-funded team of superheroes who dealt with with supervillain-level danger and super-sized drama, all while constantly remaining in the public eye. The team was led by a former FBI agent and expert marksman codenamed "Shaft"—one of the focal points for the film and the most likely character for Pattinson to play.

"[Pattinson] could do anything. He just has that look," said Ratner. "I picture him on Youngblood, for sure."

As for where the project stands these days, the "X-Men: The Last Stand" filmmaker said the script is still being written, and the mature themes of the source material—which often served as a commentary on politics, government and the nature of celebrity—will find their way into the screenplay.

"My vision for it is: We're going to make a very edgy, cool film," explained Ratner. "We're not soft-peddling it at all."

I'm a HUGE fan of Jeff Buckley and have been waiting for the biopic for a long time. I have to say, when I heard about Rob being cast I spent ages looking at him objectively for the part. Yeah, he's a great actor, but can he pull it off? Finally, after chatting to some male friends who obviously weren't secificallyRob fans, but rather fans of Jeff Buckley, and getting them to listen to his voice we decided he could actually do a bloody good job. First off, he's a huge Jeff Buckley fan himself, so you know it would be vital to him to get it right. Secondly, his portrayal of Dali showed that he spends a lot of time focusing on character quirks, gestures etc and is devoted to accurracy. Thirdly, he has the look. Fourth-His voice is not only excelllent, but has that haunted, bluesy quality that Jeff's had.

I really want him to get the part but I'm worried the Twilight hype might go against him and make casting directors feel he's too overexposed or that, because he is a 'teen heart-throb' he doesn't have the chops. However, he does seem to be giving the right impression to the people who count. So fingers crossed!

I have the impression we`ll have to wait quite some time before watching this movie, if that ever happens, and by that time Twilight will be history.
I`m crossing my fingers too ;)

Yeah, it does seem to be one of those films that everyone is going to talk about but that will never get made, doesn't it?

Yes, exactly... But that happened with a lot of movies, Unbound Captives included. That script has been around for like a decade I think. And I know I read somewhere the Remember Me script has been around for a long time too... You never know.
I know he can be perfect as JB :)
