The cast and crew of Rob’s new drama — including Academy winner Christoph Waltz — think that he’s so good in his new film that he might be up for his own Oscar this year!
We knew our boy had it in him! Robert Pattinson is definitely proving to the cast and crew of his new drama, Water For Elephants, that he isn’t just his Twilight character, brooding vampire Edward Cullen. In fact, he’s SO good as a Depression-era veterinarian that he may even receive his first Oscar nomination!
When Rob’s Elephants co-star, Christoph Waltz, was asked by fans where he kept his Oscar (he won the Supporting Actor trophy this year for Inglorious Basterds) on the Filmore, Calif. set this week, he responded, “It’s in my house, but the way things are looking, I might have to hand it off to Rob next year!”
And Christoph, 53, isn’t the only person on Elephants impressed by Rob’s acting chops. “This movie is going to be amazing, and you’re going to see Rob in a completely different way, a good way,” a crew inside gushed to HollywoodLife.com exclusively, adding, “It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he were to receive an Oscar nod for this role!”
The role in question? Rob plays Jacob Jankowski, a young, Depression-era veterinarian who joins the circus and falls in love with both Marlena, a circus performer (played by Reese Witherspoon) and Rosie, an elephant.

Rumor has it, Robert Pattinson has been approached by “American Idol” judge Simon Cowell to ink a major record deal. It is also reported that Simon is not the only person who is interested to sign the “Twilight” actor as there are other recording companies which pursue him.
A bidding war reportedly has taken place with the Edward Cullen depicter being reluctant to seal a deal with Simon. “He is a bit wary of signing up with Cowell who is, of course, associated with ‘The X Factor’ and pop,” a source said as quoted by The Sun.
Singing is not something new for Robert Pattinson as he has contributed two songs in the first installment of “Twilight” movie series. Earlier in March 2009, he revealed his desire to release an indie album, saying he is not afraid if the record fails because he “got nothing to lose.”

According to Gossip Cop, the rumors that Robert Pattinson is in talks to be the new Spiderman are just that, rumors.
Just a few days ago, though, Sony announced that it would reboot the Spider-Man franchise, letting Maguire and director Sam Raimi go. And once it became clear that there will (eventually) be a new actor in the lead role, blogs anointed Pattinson.
Yes, there will now be a new Spider-Man, but Robert Pattinson is NOT set to take the part.
Pattinson is committed to a busy upcoming slate that includes Bel Ami, Unbound Captives, and a potential Breaking Dawn production. He’s been wrongly linked to projects ranging from X-Men to Yellow Submarine. The Spidey rumor is no more real.
We’ve spoken with sources close to the studio, which now needs to devise a new identity for the franchise, a new timetable, and a new script. Casting is not yet on the radar.
Any outlet stirring Pattinson into the mix does so with zero factual basis.

Several reports are swirling around regarding the much anticipated decisions for the fourth movie in the Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn. Not all of them have been clarified, but apparently, Rob along with his lead co-stars Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner has signed on the contract for the movie.
What is news, though, is that he is all but confirming that New Moon director Chris Weitz will NOT be back to helm Breaking Dawn, one film or two. He’s also confirming that the three stars are on board and the plan is to begin shooting this fall in Vancouver.
The three principal actors, Kristen Stewart, Rob Pattinson, and Taylor Lautner have apparently completed their negotiations and are “signed,” indicating that Summit may have brokered a deal which would cover either one or two movies. Twilight, New Moon, and Eclipse screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is back on board and hard at work on what will be either one or two films, but whatever the outcome, Breaking Dawn will be made “with an eye toward beginning to shoot in Vancouver this fall.”

Talking about Pattinson on an Australian talk show, Lefevre added:
“It‘s been a year-and-a-half now and we’re still quashing the rumour that he doesn’t shower. He showers! Very early on when filming the first movie people stopped me in the street and said, ‘Does he shower?’
She adds, “He does. He’s lovely, the same as he was when he first started filming. He loves his music. He plays with his hair. He gets uncomfortable sometimes. He’s very normal.”
Awww :]
